Though I know there could have a lot of discussion on the quote I used in the mentioned picture but the thing I would like to clear right here that I am at the stage where I don’t think that I would have a happy future. Being a Muslim I believe that what’s happening to me is in my favor but according to one of the hadiths “if the two days of a Muslim is same then he is in impairment”. After I graduated as an electrical engineer in 2019, roundabout two years, I am still trying to get the job and I am still unsuccessful. What I mean to say is that I am fully disappointed about my future. Though I am trying to learn different skills, the skills which can help in beautify my future yet I haven’t seen the fruit of it.

 Yao Maseed Sit-In In Peshawar

Mehsud tribe is one of the biggest tribes in South Waziristan SWTD.  Though the Mehsuds’ are divided into three main clans formally known as “Dre-Maseed”, but after the military operation in South Waziristan, Mehsuds’ arranged a peaceful sit-in in Tank district under the title “Yao Maseed” or “U Maseed” which mean one Mehsud. They arranged three sit-ins in the district Tank for non-payment of compensation to the people who were affected by military operation. The title “Yao Maseed” indicates that the Mehsud are united for their peaceful struggle for their right which has been denied for the last many years.

After operation Rahe-e-Nijat (a military operation in SWTD in 2009) the people of South Waziristan suffered a lot. They have lost their buildings, properties, businesses, and almost everything. The people migrated to district Tank and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP. After the operation, the government announced a package (survey) to the affected people under which the owner of the complete damage housed have to get 04 lac and partially damage housed will get 01 lac and 60 thousand Pakistani rupees. The survey process is very slow and that’s why three sit-ins were arranged in FC Ground Tank.

On April 08, 2021, the sit-in was transferred/migrated to Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Demands:

1): A compensation should be given to all those who have lost their houses in operation Rah-e-Nijat.

2): A compensation should be given to all those who have lost their markets and businesses.

3): Present all missing persons of the Mehsud tribe in the court.

4): Hang Rao Anwar (the killer of Naqeeb Ullah Mehsud)

5): Waziristan should be cleared from land mines.
